The new ResinDek 50 series panels help to reduce freight charges, fatigue during installation, and material usage by being 1/2" thick rather than 3/4" thick. ResinDek XLD50 supports up to 1,250 lbs in pallet jack loads, while the new ResinDek LD50 supports up to 2,000 lbs in pallet jack loads. Testing of these new panels has been going on for nearly 1-1/2 years and a large part of that testing is conducted on pallet jack simulators that are variable speed driven physical motion-based carts which travel over a heavy duty steel platform. They are designed to recreate lightweight cart to heavy weight pallet jack traffic on a mezzanine floor. These machines support an almost infinite variety of rolling load conditions, ranging from 200 lbs to in excess of 10,000 lbs. Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products has been engineering floors for warehouses and distribution centers since its inception and continues to research for ways to bring this rapidly changing and growing industry the materials it needs to move massive quantities around the world. Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products Increases Manufacturing Capacity
On July 14, 2008, a ribbon cutting was performed in Louisville, Kentucky at our manufacturing facility to celebrate 24,000 square feet of additional space. Along with extra room to store and manufacture our ResinDek® panels, we have made several significant upgrades to the equipment in Louisville. As a result, we now have the ability to tongue and groove all 4 edges of panels up to 4’ x 10’, which will result in fewer panel sizes and simpler layouts for pick modules. The equipment upgrades will allow us to shorten lead times, store more product, and manufacture an even better Diamond Seal® Finish.With over 35 million square feet of ResinDek installed in warehouses and distribution centers throughout North America we are excited to continue providing incredible mezzanine flooring with attributes that deliver important benefits to our clients at an exceptional value.
